At the office, we have a nice water cooler (and heater) that takes industry standard 5 gallon plastic bottles. I used to be paranoid about swapping them and dumping out all that water by mistake, but I’ve gotten sorta good at minimizing spillage.
Today, I gave the same routine a shot. Except, the new bottle was filled beyond capacity. Got the cap off and the water was right to the tippy top of the neck. Didn’t think too hard about it, picked up the bottle and ejected about a third of a gallon of water everywhere; the counter, the floor, and my person.
A few choice words later, I dumped some more of the water into the sink and was able get the bottle situated in the cooler without further incident.
Great way to start the work day!
