Pink Floyd News Bits

While checking the link for the official Pink Floyd site for the last article, I stumbled on two news items:

• Syd Barrett.
  I hadn’t heard that founding member Syd Barrett recently passed away. The site says “The band are naturally very upset and sad to learn of his death. Syd was the guiding light of the early band line-up and leaves a legacy which continues to inspire.” The site lists no further details at the moment. Its a sad day for rock and roll.

• Pulse on DVD
  After an eternity, the Pulse live concert DVD is finally available. Its a good thing too, the bootleg VHS I bought 10 years ago is starting to wear out. This might just warrant a trip to my local record shop.
