Turtles All the Way Down

So, recently I messed around with AI image generation for my avatars. After that, I ran around and updated avatars on my various socials and didn’t think too much more about it.

Unfortunately, one of the socials I updated was Facebook. Hmm, that might have been a mistake. A day or so later I logged in to see if anyone commented on the new avatar (nope) and ended up doom scrolling a bit, wrecking the 5 month Facebook hiatus I had going. Oh, well.

While I was there, Facebook book offered to update my avatar with a bespoke AI generated animated version.

So, another AI, without being prompted, is (ab)using my own AI generated content. 🤣

That being said, its not half bad. It made some pretty good guesses about the side of my head, my teeth, eye movement, and the content behind me in the original static image.

We are indeed, living in the future.
