Gee, Thanks

My iTunes update said the John Mayer performance from the Today Show last week was available for download. On the off chance it was a freebie, I fired up iTunes and poked around.

Turns out they want $3.99 for a 22 minutes of footage. Sandy DVR’d the broadcast and what they showed wasn’t worth it. So, my wallet stayed firmly shut.

A couple of reviews agreed that $4 was pretty much a rip. I was surprised to see the following review:

Why thank you, kdo. A quick scan of MSNBC, and here’s the same content for free, except you can’t download it, and you have suffer through a few commercials. Good enough substitute for me.

I hope this is pure bunk. Jessica Simpson? Geez, John, I think you can do better…
