Fun on a Saturday Night

So, its 9pm on a Saturday and I’m filling up our oversized Brita water filter. It was about a quarter full before I filled it, so it was carrying three quarters of its capacity.

Just as I was about to slide it onto the shelf in the fridge, one of the ears you use to carry the tank suddenly let go. So, the entire tank took a spill hitting the bottom of the fridge, my toes, and finally the tile kitchen floor.

Even though I quickly scooped it up, it already lost half the water contained. Much mopping ensued.

The tank further cracked at the corner where the ear broke off and one of the follow up impacts cracked the reservoir.

RIP. Man, I really liked that filter. Boo.
