Cactus Flowers

A lot of folks think living in the desert is boring, and a lot of times it is. But, a certain times of the year, like when the cactuses are blooming, the desert is pretty special.

Spotted this amazing flower in a neighbor’s front yard:

Like everything else, the beauty is fleeting though. I took that picture in the morning and by the evening of the same day, the bloom was mostly withered.
