Scheduling

Background: 2 kids have dental appointments back to back. Need cancel second appointment due to scheduling conflict.

Call 1:

Me: Hey, I need to cancel my kids dental appointment.
Them: ok, when do you want to reschedule?
Me: anytime after is fine.
Them: we’re booked out past valentines day currently. I can put you on call for cancellations over school break if you like.
Me: Sounds great!

Call 2:

Them: Hi, Mr. Crowther can you confirm appointment for child unit B on wednesday at 4?
Me: Yup, that’s correct!
Them: Ok, nice. While I’ve got you on the line, can you confirm appointment for child unit A at 5, the same day?
Me: Uh, that’s the appointment I canceled last week.
Them: Oh, right, got it. KTHXBYE.

Call 3:

Them: Hi Mr. Crowther, good news! There’s a cancellation on Wednesday right after child unit B’s appointment that we can give to child unit A!
Me: Uh, yeah, that’s the appointment I canceled last week and you tried to confirm when I talked to you yesterday.
Them: Oh, right, sorry. KTHXBYE.

Is scheduling really this hard?
